Since 1983, Mercy Ministries’ free-of-charge, voluntary Christian residential program has served a diverse population of young women from various socio-economic backgrounds, ages 13-28, who face a combination of life-controlling issues such as eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, depression and unplanned pregnancy. Mercy also serves young women who have been physically and sexually abused, including victims of sex trafficking.
Find out moreIn December 2006, Pat Bradley, President of International Crisis Aid rescued a young girl in Ethiopia from sex-trafficking. Since that time, we have been offering rescue, shelter, and renewal to children victimized by the horrors of sex-trafficking in Ethiopia, Cambodia and Haiti through our SAFE campaign. We have rescued over 130 girls ages 4-21, are currently operating 7 Safe Homes, and have recently opened Mercy Chapel, which provides counseling, spiritual guidance, and vocational training to girls who are working in the red-light district of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Plans are to establish our first U.S. Safe Home in St. Louis, MO with the help of local churches, individuals and businesses. ICA Safe Homes provide food, shelter, emotional and spiritual counseling, schooling, vocational training and medical care.
